Rick Rivero launched Connections Marketing in October 2009. With a brand-heavy advertising background, he saw that quality multi-cultural website design was missing in the small to mid-size marketplace.
Rick's career began at the Tribune Company working for HOY Newspaper where he managed the Real Estate and Recruitment section of the only Hispanic daily newspaper in Chicago. He then took a position as Account Executive for CBS 2 Chicago where he worked with small to midsize companies to create effective on air ad campaigns. His next career move was to Comcast Spotlight, the advertising arm of Comcast Corp. where he re-entered into Hispanic Advertising and managed the Multi-Cultural ad initiative for the organization. It was during this time he realized the need for an interactive ad agency that would design quality websites for mid-to-small size businesses that were not only in English but Spanish and Polish.
Connections Marketing over the last few years has worked with Converge Media consulting for City of Chicago’s Municipal Marketing Committee. Connections Marketing assisted with the implementation of the Chicago Digital Network, advised on Street Level Digital concepts and also provided ideas to help the City generate revenue from unused, existing assets.
Connections Marketing is nearing their seventh year in business and currently work with over 40 clients from around the country. Rick is a graduate of Knox College with a degree in Political Science. He is Converge Media’s go-to resource for advanced technological questions and creative solutions within the online space.
