John Martin has served as CEO and President of Converge Media since 2002. John has an extensive executive, marketing, media and consulting background encompassing a variety of platforms including Municipal Marketing, digital, broadcast, out-of-home, social, mobile, video, direct marketing, research, yellow pages and print.

John has leveraged his extensive executive management and consulting experience to serve clients in both traditional consulting roles and executive interim management positions. John's flexibility in assignment engagements has given Converge Media the unique opportunity to work in operational roles with large companies going through difficult bankruptcy proceedings along with digital start-ups going through tremendous growing pains. We relish tough assignments, even interim management positions when we are available.

Since 2011, John and the Converge Media team have been working with city governments on leveraging their existing assets in innovative and creative ways to generate new revenue streams. As Program Managers for Municipal Marketing for the City of Chicago, John and the Converge Media team have been there every step of the way for the highly successful City Digital Network rollout and other municipal marketing initiatives.

    Converge Media was hired by MediaBank leadership for strategic, early stage consulting for the technology based start-up that has developed an integrated, open, cross-platform technology that maximizes intelligence and efficiency in the media buying process. Converge Media worked closely with the database developers on the data fields for sixteen media genres that was essential to the technology buildout.

John's unique executive and consulting experience really gives Converge Media a competitive advantage. Converge Media can walk into seemingly impossible situations and impact things immediately. Recently, Converge Media and Martin were engaged to serve as Executive Vice President of SMS Assist, a Pritzker Group portfolio company. The marketing mission was to re-image a multisite facility maintenance company into an innovative mobile and cloud-based technology company. The SMS Assist marketing makeover contributed greatly to their valuation tripling the last three years, while joining the distinguished "Unicorn" status with a valuation of a billion dollars.
